Bio

I was born in Cork, Ireland and have worked and studied as a Graphic/ New Media Designer and in Arts/ Film Administration working for both the Dublin Film Festival and the Darklight Film Festival moving between Dublin and Cork. I have had my Graphic Design work published in magazines such as Cosmopolitan, More and Company. Two campaigns I designed won awards at the IISPC, one a gold and one a bronze for two commercial campaigns I worked on which involved display stands with fliers, posters stickers for one job and marketing literature for two large clients.
I moved to London from Cork to take up a Foundation Degree in the London College of Fashion in Specialist Make-up Design for TV/Film. During my time here I have worked and continue to do so on various productions in Special Effects Make -Up and Hair to gain an insight and clear understanding of how various productions work. I was very privileged to see my work on the sliver screen at the BFI 52nd London Film Festival 2008 for a short called ‘Playground’ directed by Avril Evans and at the Showtime Exhibition at the London College of Fashion 2008. I have also worked on The Orcs day out for www.thehuntforgollum.com. When I finished my Fda at the LCF I successfully completed a bridging programme to bring me onto the BA which I have now completed in Specialist Make-Up Design. I have worked on various productions from short-films, commercials, promos and fashion shoots. I now have the necessary practical and theoretical make up artist skills for the film/television and fashion industry in Special Effects Make-Up and Hair. Please view more of my work on my own website which is www.notjustlipstick.co.uk.
